The primary challenges identified in optimizing the SEO for the agent system included:
- The presence of many established players in the market.
- The inherent difficulty of SEO in this competitive landscape.
- Financial constraints limiting the budget for SEO efforts.
Due to the financial limitations, achieving significant SEO improvements required more intensive and strategic work. To overcome these challenges, I implemented a detailed step-by-step SEO improvement process:
- Research:
- Divided the research into brand keywords and transactional keywords.
- Identified keywords related to the customer journey.
- Targeted outranking previously optimized keywords from The Boss Asia.
- Scrape Information from the Page:
- Used Jupyter Notebook to write a Python script to scrape first page results and save the data as a CSV file.
- Utilized Screaming Frog to scan both the first page URLs and our website to check for broken links and enhance the web silo structure.
- Redirected broken links and planned for an improved silo structure.
- Set Articles Based on Keywords:
- Focused on understanding the customer journey and maintaining flexibility with content.
- Emphasized the importance of aligning articles with customer behavior despite similar keywords among competitors.
- Structured content uniquely to stand out from competitors.
- Find Suitable Backlinks:
- Invested in quality backlinks while avoiding spammy ones.
- Used Private Blog Networks (PBN) from Fiverr at layer 2 level if necessary.
- Determine Metrics and Actions:
- Established Objective & Key Results (OKRs), aiming to reach the first page within 6 months with a specific number of leads.
- Prioritized on-page optimization, followed by backlink acquisition, and wrote 3-4 relevant articles.
- Implementation:
- Initiated activities by optimizing on-page content, securing backlinks, and publishing essential articles.
- Achieved top 3 rankings on the first page within 2 months organically.
Results: Through these efforts, FounderHQ experienced a significant improvement in SEO performance. Calculating potential revenue, a SaaS company charging RM599 per month for 12 months would yield RM7200 per user with minimal SEO risk. The process is adaptable based on the business nature and competition level.
